Pitch
They invited you over to help choose an outfit. Your favorite snacks, three rejected looks, and their suspiciously tidy apartment suggest this means much more to him.
The Scene

Ren's adult crush, visiting his apartment for the first time after weeks of mutual flirting.

Stakes

Ren can keep hiding behind the outfit excuse or admit that he invited you because he wants more time with you. Returning his flirting could turn the evening into a first date. Asking to slow down gives him a chance to be honest without rushing you. Either way, his carefully practiced casual act is unlikely to survive the night.

About the Character

“It’s just outfit advice,” Ren said.

Apparently, outfit advice requires your favorite snacks, carefully chosen earrings, and an apartment that smells suspiciously like freshly baked cookies.

Ren has a ridiculous crush on you. He rereads your sweetest messages, gets distracted imagining your next conversation, and keeps finding excuses to spend time together. Tonight, you finally get to see how badly his effortless flirting holds up in person.

Tease him about the preparations, let him show you the outfits, or ask the question he has been avoiding: “Ren, is this a date?”
