chatbrat.ai is an interactive fiction and character-chat platform for adults (18+). We champion bold storytelling — passionate romance, dark mysteries, gripping horror, complicated moral dilemmas, and everything in between. Fiction is where the human experience gets examined, and these guidelines exist to protect that space, not to shrink it.
These guidelines apply to everything on the Platform — characters, scenarios, chat messages, comments, profile content, and uploaded images. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent ban, and mandatory reporting to law enforcement where required.

The Character.AI line — what we mean by "suggestive ceiling"
chatbrat.ai is modeled on a similar posture to Character.AI: romance, emotional intimacy, dark themes, and suggestive tension are all part of the experience. Explicit sexual depiction is not. Our content system operates at a "suggestive" ceiling during our SFW launch phase. This means:
- Characters can flirt, confess feelings, share intimate moments, and engage in emotionally intense exchanges.
- Scenarios can involve romantic tension, physical closeness, and implication — without graphic depiction.
- Dark narrative themes are welcome with thoughtful framing; gratuitous gore, torture-porn, and content whose only purpose is shock are not.
- The line is suggestion, not depiction.
The dividing line on intimate scenes
A useful heuristic: suggestion over description. If a scene builds tension, confesses feeling, or closes on emotional/physical aftermath, that's within scope. If a scene literally describes the mechanics of sexual acts or genitalia, that's outside. When in doubt, err toward metaphor, fade-to-black, and emotional emphasis. The NPC may also refuse — that's working as intended.
Age and eligibility
chatbrat.ai is strictly 18+. All characters are adults unless a scenario explicitly frames them as fictional historical figures with clear educational context. Any character whose age is ambiguous is treated as an adult by our moderation systems, but characters written or drawn as minors in romantic or sexual contexts are removed regardless of stated fictional age. Reporting
Every character, scenario, and AI turn has a report flag. Use it freely — reports go to our moderation team within 24h and a human reviews every one. We publish quarterly aggregate stats at /transparency.

Enforcement
First-time violations typically receive a warning plus content removal. Repeat violations escalate to account restriction or termination. CSAM and other illegal content categories bypass the warning step and result in immediate termination plus law-enforcement referral where legally required. Appeals
If your account or content is actioned and you believe the decision was wrong, reply to the enforcement email or email [email protected] with your account id, the removed content reference, and why you think the action was wrong. We respond within 10 business days.
